👾 About RetroPCArt

Last updated: April 26, 2025

RetroPCArt is a non-profit, enthusiast-run project, born out of sheer love for video games. Created by two lifelong gamers, we're as passionate about Skyrim and Tomb Raider as we are about those pixel-perfect classics from the golden era of home computing.

We're talking about that magic window between 1985 and 1995—especially the golden years of 1989 to 1994—when unforgettable gems like SimCity, Civilization, Dune II, Ultima VII, Master of Orion, Day of the Tentacle, and Doom redefined the genre.

These titles didn’t just inspire modern gaming—they’re still incredibly fun and worth playing today.

Since many of these classics have become abandonware—meaning they’ve been discontinued or left unsupported—we’ve curated and configured them with emulators for easy one-click play on today’s systems. No setup headaches, just retro joy.

We know abandonware sits in a legal gray area, but we've received tons of appreciation from users and even some of the original developers, motivating us to continue. If you fall in love with a title, consider buying it on GOG.com—you'll often find them for a bargain.

A big shoutout to MobyGames, whose extensive database has helped immensely in building RetroPCArt.
